The soft cinnamon flavor of these all-time favorite cookies are so yummy!
The trick is rolling the balls in cinnamon sugar after you have refrigerated them for 30 minutes.
I say, prepare your dough and pop them in the fridge. Then right before dessert, roll them in the sugar, bake and you have straight out of the oven goodness.

Here is what you need
- 1/2 Cup butter (1 stick) room temperature
- 3/4 Cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg – room temperature
- 1 1/2 Cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp cream of tartar
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 3 tbsp sugar (for rolling balls)
- 2 tsp cinnamon (for rolling balls)
Makes 2 Dozen cookies

How to Make:
Preheat oven to 375°F.
Mix room temperature butter, sugar and egg thoroughly in a large bowl.
Combine flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt in a separate bowl.
Blend dry ingredients into butter mixture.
Chill dough for 20 minutes.
Meanwhile, mix 3 tablespoons sugar, and 2 teaspoons cinnamon in a small bowl.
Roll the dough into balls and coat by gently rolling into cinnamon sugar mixture.
Place on un-greased cookie sheet (parchment paper), and bake 7-10 minutes. Remove from pan immediately
