Snickerdoodles

Ingredients
  

  • 1/2 Cup butter (1 sticks) room temperature
  • 3/4 Cup sugar
  • 1 large egg - room temperature
  • 1 1/2 Cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp Cream of tartar
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt (optional)
  • 3 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon

Instructions
 

  • How to Make:
    Preheat oven to 375°F.
    Mix room temperature butter, sugar and egg thoroughly in a large bowl.
    Combine flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt in a separate bowl.
    Blend dry ingredients into butter mixture.
    Chill dough in a bowl for 20 minutes. 
    Meanwhile, mix 3 tablespoons sugar, and 3 teaspoons cinnamon in a small bowl.
    Roll the dough into balls and roll into cinnamon sugar mixture.
    Place on un-greased cookie sheet (parchment paper), and bake 7-10 minutes. Remove from pan immediately.
