Ornament Chocolate Brownies

How fun to make edible ornaments. Using a circle cuttter you can create ornaments by attaching spice drops to brownies. We use spaghetti to attach the candy to the brownies.

These brownies are a wonderful addition to your holiday dessert table and also make a perfect edible gift.

Here is what you need

1 Cup (2 sticks) melted butter

½ Cup unsweetened cocoa powder

2 Cups all-purpose flour

2 Cups granulated sugar

½ teaspoon salt

4 large eggs

2 Tablespoons pure vanilla extract

1 Cup chocolate chips (optional)

Mini M & M’s

Spice Drops or Dots candy or Gum Drops

How to Make:
  1. In a bowl, melt butter in microwave for 20 seconds. Let cool to warm. Add in cocoa powder. Stir well.   
  2. In another bowl, mix flour, sugar, and salt. Pour in butter mixture and stir well. It will be a thick dough.
  3. Add in eggs one at a time, stirring each time. Add in vanilla. Mix until smooth. Mix in chocolate chips.
  4. Pour brownie mix into pan. Spread to edges. Bake for 18 minutes. Use cake tester or toothpick inserted in middle to come out clean. Let cool.
  5. Using circle cutter to cut shapes. With pieces of spaghetti, attach spice drop to ornaments.

  • 2 tbsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 Cup Semi-sweet chocolate chips (optional)
  • 1 bag spice drops, Dots, or gum drops
  • 1 bag mini M & M's
  • 5 pieces dry spaghetti

Instructions
 

  • In a bowl, melt butter in microwave for 20 seconds. Let cool to warm.
    Add in cocoa powder. Stir well.   
    In another bowl, mix flour, sugar, and salt.
    Pour in butter mixture and stir well.
