Fresh sweet potatoes & cranberries! oh la la
Make the perfect jolly holiday colorful dish.
Pretty simple with sweet potatoes (also known as yams), fresh cranberries, some brown sugar, butter, spice and mini marshmallows.
It’s a fun recipe to make with your kids. They follow the printable recipe.
You can use frozen cranberries, but make sure to defrost and dry before adding to the recipe.

Here is what you need
Preheat 400 F
- 3 large sweet potatoes
- 1 stick butter
- 3/4 Cup brown sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 2 Cups fresh cranberries
- 1 Cup mini marshmallows
How to Make:

Makes 1 casserole to serve 8-10.
Preheat oven 400 F
- Melt butter in a microwave safe bowl.
- Peel sweet potatoes. Cut into squares.
- Place potatoes in a buttered casserole dish.
- Pour butter over and stir.
- Add the brown sugar and cinnamon. Stir.
- Add cranberries and stir.
- Bake for 40 minutes.
- Carefully take out of the oven. Sprinkle marshmallows on top.
- Bake another 5 minutes.
