Everyone loves brownies – but what about blondies. Blondies are just like brownies without the chocolate.
You get to add a twist by making them strawberry blondies. Using strawberry jam you give a sweet fruit flavor. You can also add the juice of one lemon to give it even more amazing taste.
This recipe makes over 20 bars. If you want a smaller batch, you can cut the recipe in half.

Here is what you need
- 1 stick butter (1/2 cup)
- 1 Cup brown sugar
- ½ Cup granulated sugar
- 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
- Juice of one lemon (optional)
- 2 large eggs – lightly beaten
- 1 ½ Cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 Cup white chocolate chips
- ½ Cups sliced almonds (optional)
- ½ Cup strawberry jam
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Line a 9 x 9 inch baking pan with parchment paper.
In a microwave safe bowl, melt butter and brown sugar for 1 minute. Let cool until warm.
Stir in sugar and vanilla. Add juice of lemon (optional). Let cool slightly. Add in eggs and mix.
In a large bowl, whisk the flour and baking powder.
Stir into the butter mixture.
Stir in the white chocolate chips Spread the batter in the pan.
Drop dollops of jam on top and swirl with a knife. Sprinkle nuts on top.
Bake 25 to 30 minutes.
Let cool before cutting into bars.
