Perfect Pie Crust

Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/2 Cups all-purpose flour keep cold before mixing
  • 2 tsp sugar add extra if making sweet pie
  • 1 tsp salt optional
  • 1/2 Cup cold butter (1 stick)
  • 2 tbsp cold milk

Instructions
 

  • One Bowl Method:
    Mix flour, sugar and salt into a large bowl. 
    Cut butter into tiny pieces and add to flour mixture. Using a pastry blender or your hands, work the butter into the flour. 
    Sprinkle the milk on top. Stir until dough becomes tough to mix. 
    Roll the dough out onto a floured board.Using a dull knife, cut a round circle so it covers the pie dish.
    Carefully place the pie crust into the dish.With a fork, make a few pricks in the dough so it doesn't bubble up during baking.
    Add your filling.
    If adding a pie crust topping, add carefully.
    Place in pre-heated oven.
    Most fruit pies bake for 40 minutes.
